Vice-Rector IV UNS Visited KKN Student Products Exhibition in Sragen

UNS — Vice-Rector for Planning, Partnership, Business, and Information Affairs (Vice-Rector IV) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Sajidan paid a visit to Student Community Service Program (KKN) product exhibition in Sragen District. This visit was a part of a ceremony marking the end of January – February 2021 KKN in Sragen, held in Hadiluwih Village Hall, Sumberlawang Subdistrict, Wednesday (24/2/2021).

On this occasion, Prof. Sajidan stated that KKN students had conducted various assistance for the community in a team or individually. The programs implemented in this KKN are very diverse in health, agriculture, tourism, and other fields. “I appreciated student’s programs. Hopefully, what they perform will benefit the local community,” Prof. Sajidan explained.

In KKN UNS Srage, students and PKK members in Hadiluwih Village conducted oyster mushroom cultivation and aquaponics, catfish cultivation in buckets, hand sanitizer production, hand wash production, organic fertilizer production, beverage production from Moringa leaves, processing goyor woven scrap into a purse, and many other programs.

Prof. Sajidan hopes that KKN UNS programs will improve the Sragen people’s economy. “For example, oyster mushroom cultivation, hopefully after our students went home, the villagers can apply the cultivation process to improve their economy. And surely, to improve local nutrition intake because it is rich with protein,” Prof. Sajidan added.

The Village Chief of Hadiluwih, Sumberlawang, Sragen, Kuswandi said that he is delighted with KKN UNS students’ presence because they have assisted the villagers. “Thank you to UNS for sending their students to implement KKN in our village. They shared extensive knowledge with our people, for example, oyster mushroom cultivation,” Kuswandi stated. Humas UNS
