UNS — Good news came from Campus Life Introduction for New Students (Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Mahasiswa Baru – PKKMB) Program Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta which broke a record in Indonesia World Record Museum (Museum Rekor- Dunia Indonesia – MURI). MURI Certificate Number 9649/R.MURI/IX/2020 was awarded to UNS and the Committee of UNS Festival for Art Appreciation and Collaboration for initiating and organizing the Virtual Paper MOB Configuration for the Largest Number of Participants held in G.P.H. Haryo Mataram Auditorium UNS, Sunday (20/9/2020).
The online Paper MOB Configuration was joined by more than 4,500 new students in UNS. In the configuration, the formed formations are www, please wait, Pandhega Praja Abauwedha, Spada, Google Meet, Google Classroom, WhatsApp, Zoom, Pendidikan no. 1 (education number 1), Ayo Indonesia Bisa!!! (Indonesia can do it), Terima kasih kepada (thank you to), Garda Depan (the vanguard), and UNS Logo.
On the occasion, the Senior Manager of MURI, Sri Widayanti, appreciated UNS achievement in breaking the record. “This outstanding for UNS, which is considered as an active campus, having spectacular records, unique, and rare to be implemented by other places with its creative ideas. Even in the pandemic, paper MOB which is usually held directly in the open space with great fanfare does not reduce their intention or ideas to hold the paper MOB using virtual means and it is spectacular because it is joined by the largest number of participants,” Sri Widayanti stated.
The happy notion was conveyed by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho who shared his appreciation for the managing committee from the UNS Student Family (KBM) under the UNS Student Executive Board (BEM) work program. “Smartly, BEM UNS has initiated (the event) because of the Covid-19 pandemic, BEM UNS became the initiator and organizer of virtual paper MOB configuration with the largest number of participants of more than 4,500 students. Thank you,” Prof. Jamal conveyed.
This record proved that UNS students can adapt to the current condition promptly and think creatively amid the limitation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Humas UNS
