UNS – As part of the General Lecture Series 2023, the Visual Communication Design (DKV) Program at the Faculty of Arts and Designs (FSRD) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta organized a general lecture titled “Event Design Organizing.” The event, held in the H.B. Sutopo FSRD Building Auditorium, featured a graphic designer and Assistant to the Creative Producer, Indriana Anggun Febrianti, S.Ds., M.Sn.
Dr. Jazuli Abdin Munib, S.Sn., M.Hum., as the moderator, expressed gratitude and a warm welcome to Indriana Anggun Febrianti, S.Ds., M.Sn., who kindly agreed to share her knowledge with the students during this general lecture at FSRD UNS.
“Welcome back, Sister Anggun, to FSRD UNS. Hopefully, we can discuss event design organizing together according to today’s theme,” Dr. Munib expressed during the general lecture on Wednesday (8/11/2023).
Dr. Munib then provided a brief profile of Indriana Anggun Febrianti, S.Ds., M.Sn. Anggun is one of the accomplished alumni of FSRD UNS and is currently dedicated to the field of graphic design, serving as an Assistant to the Creative Producer.
In her presentation, Anggun discussed various categories of events, including personal or intimate events, leisure events, cultural events, and organizational events. “In events, there are various categories, such as personal events like weddings or birthdays. Secondly, there are leisure events, such as sports events for the general public. Thirdly, cultural events or those related to culture, such as Solo Batik Fashion. Finally, there are organizational events, which are events organized by organizations or brands, such as product launches for skincare,” Anggun explained.
Anggun also emphasized that, in any event, the most crucial aspect is the budget. “Any event will not be able to run without a budget. So, the most important thing needed or considered to organize an event is to adjust and plan the budget first,” Anggun added.
Furthermore, Anggun showcased behind-the-scenes videos of several events she had handled. The participants appeared enthusiastic about the content presented by the speaker, with many students asking questions about Anggun’s insights. Humas UNS
