UNS – Dream is parallel to the process to attempt it. Effort never betrays result. If the effort is splendid then the result will be worthy. Consistency, courage to explore, and putting trust to The Creator are able to lead Aiman Hilmi Asaduddin, a student of Medicine Education 2017 Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) to achieve one of his dreams, become the most outstanding student of UNS in 2019 and make him to go to National Outstanding Student Competition.
To be on this position, there were several processes that must be passed, including selection stages in the department, faculty and university. In those stages of selection, Aiman had to finish a Scientific Writing (KTI), complete an English interview, and show proof of his achievements.
He said that he knew Outstanding Students Competition through his senior, Putu Gede Oka, a former Outstanding Student of UNS Vocation 2014. Since then he was motivated to keep excelling and prepare for enrolling the competition.
A man born in Yogyakarta on July 23, 1999 has started to join in the competition since last year. He succeeded to achieve the runner up Outstanding Student of Faculty of Medicine but could not maintain to join competition in the level of university. Even though he had not succeeded, did not mean to give up. On the other hand, he made his failure in the first year as a breakthrough to achieve more and re-enroll in the Outstanding Students Competition 2019.
“My research is quite simple, by utilizing the potential development of chicken eggs Immunoglobulin Y (IgY) antibody to overcome infectious diseases,” stated Aiman regarding to his writing as the selection requirement.
He explained, starting from the high risk of disease growth and the high number of antibiotic abuse cases which actually made microbes was resistant, which had been underlying his research to make IMMUNEO (Immunoglobulin-Y Enriched Chicken Egg Oil) functioned as an immunostimulant and antimicrobial supplement to cure infections. IMMUNEO is an Immunoglobulin-Y (IgY) engineered product development of chicken eggs which are divided into two forms, general products (General – IMMUNEO) and specific products (Specific IMMUNEO) that are different in the early stages of the preparation and the application.
General IMMUNEO serves as an additional supplement to improve macrophage response from pathogen agents. Meanwhile, Specific – IMMUNEO acts as an adjuvant agent to enhance the body’s immune response to an antibiotic.
“IMMUNEO is made of eggs from leghorn chickens which are fed with Camelina and Flaxseed based food which has been proven to increase IgY levels of chicken eggs. The egg yolk is separated from the white egg for heating so there is no liposome encapsulation that IgY is able to withstand gastric acid,” Aiman expressed.
