UNS — In addition to obtaining achievement in National Unmanned Speed Boat Contest (KKCTBN), Bengawan Unmanned Vehicle (UV) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta also obtained achievements in the Indonesia Flying Robot Contest (Kontes Robot Terbang Indonesia – KRTI) held on 23 – 30 October 2020. In this contest, Bengawan UV UNS brought home the award for 2nd position in Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) category.
This year, Bengawan UV UNS sent its best 4 teams in the category Fixed Wing, VTOL, Racing Plane, and Technology Demonstration (TD). They obtained achievement in VTOL category. KRTI is held online and Bengawan UV UNS prepared their works in several locations in UNS. Anagata, a team from Bengawan UV UNS in VTOL category, has 6 members, Achmad Ali Husen from Industrial Engineering Program 2017, Nanda Hafidz from Electrical Engineering Program 2017, Muhammad Ravi Rachman from Electrical Engineering Program 2018, Nada Syadza from Electrical Engineering Program 2018, Suryanto from Mechanical Engineering Program 2019, and Geovani Rahmad Electrical Engineering Program 2019.
The KRTI event was held through live streaming for VTOL, Fixed Wing, and TD category. While for Racing Plane category, the assessment was conducted by sending the proof of the vehicle’s performance in the form of video. This year, KRTI was participated by 34 teams in Racing Plane category, 22 teams in Fixed Wing category, 24 teams in VTOL category, and 16 teams in TD category which is included in the airframe innovation category.
According to the information from Annas Isman Saputro as the General Manager of Bengawan UV UNS, the vehicle created for VTOL category is in the form of drone multicopter which took four months to build. “The vehicle for VTOL category is drone multicopter, which is aimed to assist Covid-19 handling. The mission from VTOL vehicle is to deliver 3 pieces of logistic to a certain location through a fully automatic operation without GPS. VTOL vehicle is aimed for indoor use,” Annas explained on Monday (16/11/2020) evening.
With this achievement, Annas hopes that UNS will be more known at the national level especially in the field of technology development. He also hopes that Bengawan UV members can continue developing their skills and more students will know Bengawan UV and interested to become a member. Humas UNS
