UNS — Commemorating its 48th anniversary, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta organized Group Exercise and Fun Walk. The Group Exercise took place in the courtyard of the dr. Prakosa Building at UNS on Friday (March 1, 2023). The Fun Walk, on the other hand, commenced after the Group Exercise, starting and finishing at the dr. Prakosa Building courtyard.

Dr. Chatarina Muliana, S.H., S.E., M.H., the Acting Rector of UNS, expressed gratitude to all members of the UNS community for their participation and camaraderie in enlivening the 48th Dies Natalis celebrations.

This year’s Dies Natalis carries the theme “Dynamic Transformation of Higher Education to Realize Indonesia’s Vision of Indonesia Emas 2045.” Higher education institutions, including UNS, are expected to dynamically transform and become agile organizations capable of swiftly adapting to the changing times and making significant contributions to the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision, particularly in human development and mastery of science and technology.

“Of course, this requires individuals within higher education institutions who are fit, healthy, and resilient. Therefore, we must always maintain fitness and health through sports activities and other means. The group exercise, fun walk, and morning sports competitions are part of our efforts to stay healthy and fit, as well as to enhance solidarity and synergy among all members of UNS,” Dr. Chatarina added.

Dr. Chatarina further noted that the process of restructuring UNS’s internal institutions is currently underway and progressing as expected. She believes that this restructuring will lay a strong foundation for UNS to accelerate towards its vision as a leading university nationally and internationally.

“We hope for the support and prayers of the entire UNS campus community for this restructuring to proceed smoothly and result in a strong institution with good governance,” she added.

Additionally, it was announced that a flag-raising ceremony in honor of the 48th Dies Natalis would be held on March 7, 2024. “We expect all lecturers and educational staff to attend the ceremony. Meanwhile, the Open Senate Session in honor of the Dies Natalis would be held on March 8, 2024,” Dr. Chatarina concluded. HUMAS UNS
