The Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H. M. Hum., said that the world university ranking system, Webometrics, has once again announced the best universities in Indonesia. The July 2023 edition marks a special occasion as it commemorates 20 years of Webometrics managing ranking data for 32,000 top institutions worldwide, including Indonesia.
The evaluation of these universities is based on three assessment indicators: visibility for 50 percent, transparency or openness for 10 percent, and excellence for 40 percent.
“UNS is ranked 7th in Indonesia and 1,037th worldwide,” Prof. Jamal explained on Sunday (30/7/2023).
Prof. Jamal expressed his gratitude to all university leaders, lecturers, staff and the entire academic community at UNS for their support and cooperation, which led to UNS being among the top 10 best universities in Indonesia according to Webometrics in July 2023.
“This is the result of the cooperation of all stakeholders in the university. We hope that UNS’s ranking will continue to improve in Indonesia and globally in the coming years,” he said.
