UNS – Everybody has a right to dream. No matter what kind of difficult course that they have to go through, a true fighter will always run to the finish line to achieve the dream star.
This kind of true fighter is real. For example, a student with a disability from Informatics Engineering (TI) Program Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (FMIPA) class 2015 Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta named Naura Savira. The 22 years old student completed her Diploma 3 study in 3 years 10 months.
Born in Jakarta, Naura was born quadriplegic, even so, her eyes are always decorated with enthusiasm. Her dream to complete her study spurred her enthusiasm to continue working and chasing her dream. She proofed that by completing her Informatics Engineering education.
In her daily life, Naura lives in the area behind Pasar Gede Solo. She went to the campus using an e-hailing service. During her study, Naura admitted that she experienced difficulties when she needed to work with cables.
“In my study, there was a network course, it asked you to work with cables, to install cables I need to move,” Naura stated after attending the graduation procession in G.P.H Haryo Mataram Auditorium UNS, Saturday (29/2/2020).
Naura keeps attending lectures so that she is not lag behind her friends. Even if the lectures were held upstairs, Naura, with her passion, will attend it no matter how. Usually, to go upstairs, Naura will need her friend’s help.
With the additional title behind her name. Naura Savira, A.Md.Kom said that she is relieved and happy with her struggle.
“First of all, (I) feel relieved, secondly, (I am) happy because I can make my parents proud. I have never seen my parents being that enthusiastic. Especially in the faculty graduation ceremony, my parents’ names were mentioned. I was rather touched because I admitted that it was difficult, difficult because I had to adjust it when the lecturer was upstairs, I had to follow. So, during the ceremony, I remembered all of my struggles during my study,” explained Naura with a beamed face.
After this, Naura planned to work, but did not rule out the possibility that if God has a different plan, Naura also wanted to continue his studies to a higher level. For the closest plan, Naura wanted to work in Bekasi. She has no idea what type of jobs she wanted for the time being.
Naura explained that work hard will bring results. It is not instant, it needs time. One also needs to train their patients to achieve optimum results.
“Hard work will bring results even if it is not instant. It needs time, it needs patience, but it will bring result one day,” Naura said. Humas UNS/Zalfaa
