UNS–Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to review the results of its Information Technology (IT) evaluation. The event, conducted on Monday (23/12/2024) at UNS Inn, featured presentations, particularly from PT AdAstra Visi Teknologi, which served as the external auditor for the evaluation.
In his opening remarks, UNS Rector, Prof. Dr. Hartono, dr., M.Si., emphasized UNS’s commitment to digital transformation. He described the IT system audit as a foundational step toward developing a blueprint for the “UNS One Data” initiative. This initiative aims to streamline access for the academic community, especially lecturers and students, in supporting the university’s Tridharma of higher education.
“Once ‘One Data’ is realized, with an integrated system and services offered under one roof, UNS will operate more efficiently,” Prof. Hartono stated.

Prof. Ir. Ary Setyawan, M.Sc., Ph.D., Director of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (TIK) UNS, highlighted the importance of IT evaluation for the campus. He explained that the initiative aligns with the DREAM TEAM strategy led by the Rector, focusing on the digital aspect. This evaluation, he added, will serve as a foundation for future technological advancements at UNS.
“The key is to evaluate UNS’s information systems from an external perspective,” Prof. Ary Setyawan said.
Nofri Hermanto, Director of PT AdAstra Visi Teknologi, shared key findings from the audit process. The evaluation began with IT governance and will extend to infrastructure and security. Governance auditing helps map the performance of human resources toward an integrated and structured system. The evaluation utilized the COBIT 2019 framework.
Several recommendations were provided by PT AdAstra Visi Teknologi across agreed-upon domains. The audit covered areas including risk management, continuity management, operational management, data management, security service management, and workforce management. Based on the evaluation results, UNS will implement short-term, medium-term, and long-term action plans to address identified areas for improvement.
